Organizational Structure

 

President

The President is the chief elected authority of the Panchayat. The President provides leadership for development activities and administrative functions and oversees the overall functioning of the Panchayat.

Vice President

The Vice President assists the President in administrative activities and performs the duties and responsibilities of the President in the President's absence.

Standing Committees

Standing Committees are responsible for overseeing and coordinating various key areas of Panchayat administration, including development, finance, health, education, and welfare.

Standing Committees

Development Standing Committee

The Development Standing Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the development programmes and projects of the Panchayat. It focuses on public welfare, local development, and the improvement of basic infrastructure and essential services.

Finance Standing Committee

The Finance Standing Committee is responsible for overseeing and managing the revenue and expenditure of the Panchayat. It deals with financial matters, budget-related activities, and the effective utilisation of Panchayat funds.

Health and Education Standing Committee

The Health and Education Standing Committee is responsible for coordinating and overseeing activities related to public health and education within the Panchayat.

Welfare Standing Committee

The Welfare Standing Committee is responsible for implementing various public welfare programmes. It focuses on social security, welfare measures, and the well-being of vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of society.

Official Administrative Section

Secretary

The Secretary is the principal administrative officer of the Panchayat. The Secretary coordinates office operations, file processing, official procedures, and the overall administrative functioning of the Panchayat.

Assistant Secretary

The Assistant Secretary assists in the administrative and office functions of the Panchayat. The Assistant Secretary also serves as the Member Secretary of Kudumbashree, coordinates various welfare programmes, and undertakes responsibilities related to the implementation of Scheduled Caste development programmes.

Head Clerk

The Head Clerk supervises the day-to-day office operations of the Panchayat. The officer coordinates file processing and the functioning of various office sections and provides supervision and control over the work of the employees.

Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial transactions and accounts of the Panchayat. The Accountant prepares and maintains income and expenditure statements and manages financial records relating to the budget, taxes, and other financial matters.

Clerk

The Clerk is responsible for handling files and records of the Panchayat. The Clerk deals with tax collection, applications, office registers, and other administrative matters. Ward-level responsibilities and various public service-related activities are also carried out as assigned.

Senior Clerk

The Senior Clerk supervises office records and administrative procedures and coordinates the functioning of various office sections. The Senior Clerk is also responsible for the scrutiny and processing of important files and related official procedures.

Office Attendant

The Office Attendant provides assistance in the day-to-day functioning of the Panchayat office. The duties include the movement and delivery of official documents, maintenance of office arrangements, and providing general support for the smooth functioning of the office.
